Participants can use the dip nets that are provided to search for pond life, including frogs, salamanders, tadpoles, crayfish, and aquatic insects. POND EXPLORATION: Back by popular demand, Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park’s Pond Exploration Programs are running again! Revolving around discovering aquatic wildlife at Delegan Pond, this scheduled reoccurring program is taking place every Friday throughout the summer from 10:30am-11:30am. Individuals, families, groups, businesses, and school teams are all encouraged to race. Held every year at Fort Hardy Park in Schuylerville, the Cardboard Boat Race is a fun and creative community day on the Hudson River. Our Gardens are the only area on the grounds of Yaddo that are open to the public. The grounds of Yaddo, including our Gardens, are a privately funded, nonprofit artist retreat established by the Trask family in 1893. Docent-led tours for private groups may be arranged by contacting Yaddo. During racing season, drop-in tours are offered on Tuesdays from July 26 through August 20 at 11 AM for $10 per person.
Visitors should meet at the main garden gate at 11 AM. YADDO TOURS: Summer drop-in tours of the Gardens at Yaddo are offered on Saturdays and Sundays, from now through Sept.
